This first Hydrogen Market Monitoring Report (MMR), covering 2023 and the first half of 2024, sheds light on the main regulatory challenges of the hydrogen markets at EU and national level. It addresses issues such as the repurposing of gas networks and the need for greater coordination by hydrogen, natural gas, and electricity network operators.

Stähle zu untersuchen und Sicherheitsstandards einzuhalten.

The European Council of 30 June 2023 called “for an independent High-Level Report on the future of the Single Market to be presented at its meeting of March 2024 and invites the incoming presidencies of the Council and the Commission to take this work forward, in consultation with the Member States”. Both countries and the Commission would like to find in it concrete and ambitious recommendations and asked the former Italian head of government, Enrico Letta, to write this report.

The report looks at the challenges faced by the industry and companies in the Single Market.

The findings of the report will contribute to the Commission’s work on a new plan for Europe’s sustainable prosperity and competitiveness. And in particular, to the development of the new Clean Industrial Deal for competitive industries and quality jobs, which will be presented in the first 100 days of the new Commission mandate.

Automatisierte Mobilität birgt große Potenziale: mehr Verkehrssicherheit, höhere Verkehrseffizienz und damit einen Beitrag zur CO2-Reduktion sowie enorme Möglichkeiten für die Wirtschaft. Weltweit wird deshalb an der Entwicklung und Einführung innovativer Technologien gearbeitet. Für die öffentliche Hand gilt es daher, mit zielgerichtetem Ressourceneinsatz gesellschaftlichen Nutzen zu bewirken.
